1. Composition

Each 2ml ampoule contains drotaverine hydrochloride 40mg. Excipients: sodium metabisulfite, ethanol 96%, water for injections.

2. Indications

Smooth muscle spasms associated with diseases of the biliary and urinary tract (colic, cholecystitis, nephrolithiasis, cystitis), and as adjunctive therapy in gastrointestinal spasticity.

3. Dosage and Administration

Intramuscular (IM) or slow intravenous (IV) injection. Adults: 40-240mg daily in 1-3 divided doses. For acute colic, 40-80mg slowly IV.

4. Contraindications

Severe hepatic, renal or cardiac failure; hypersensitivity to drotaverine or bisulfites; lactation; childhood.

5. Side Effects

Hypotension, palpitations, dizziness, nausea, allergic reactions.

6. Storage Conditions

Store protected from light between 15°C and 25°C.
