PK-Merz 100mg film-coated tablets No30

* Antiparkinsonian agent and NMDA receptor antagonist (Merz).

1. Composition

Active substance: Amantadine sulfate 100mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, gelatin, magnesium stearate.

2. Indications

Parkinson's disease (hypokinesia, rigidity, tremor) and drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms caused by neuroleptics.

3. Dosage and Administration

Oral administration after meals with liquid. Initial dosage is 100mg once daily, increasing to 100mg twice daily under specialist medical supervision.

4. Contraindications

Severe congestive heart failure (NYHA IV), QT prolongation, end-stage renal failure, history of severe psychiatric illness, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

5. Side Effects

Common: insomnia, motor agitation, orthostatic hypotension, nausea, livedo reticularis with ankle edema.

6. Storage Conditions

Store below 25°C out of reach of children.
